Families' Outlooks on Supporting Teens' Emotional Resilience and Health

Adolescent mental health challenges abound in the United States. Increasing evidence suggests that youth of color experience unique adversities and key strengths that shape their emotional well-being. Parents represent one central influence on teens' mental health. It is therefore important to understand caregivers' perspectives on what does and does not support optimal mental health in young people. The FOSTER-Health Study seeks to engage parents and other caregivers of adolescents in conversations about their children's mental health and how best to support their healthy emotional development.
